Monthly budget calculator (AED)
Type your take-home pay and see it split into needs, wants and savings in dirhams, with a check on how big your rent is against it. It runs on your device and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
How the split works
- 50 / 30 / 20 is the classic rule: half for needs, 30% for wants, 20% for savings.
- In a city where rent is a large fixed cost, 60 / 20 / 20 keeps savings at 20% by trimming wants.
- When needs take most of the pay, 70 / 20 / 10 is a realistic place to start.
- The three parts always add up to your pay exactly; any rounding goes to savings.
A split is a start, not the plan
A percentage split treats every month alike. UAE money is lumpier: rent cheques, school fees by the term and instalments land on specific dates. Spendfeed shows what is safe to spend until payday after those are set aside.

Spendfeed logs your spending by itself and keeps your safe-to-spend number current.
Questions about budgeting
What counts as a need?
Rent, utilities such as DEWA and internet, groceries, transport, school fees and loan or instalment payments. Wants are everything optional: dining out, subscriptions, shopping, trips.
Is 30% of pay on rent a rule?
It is a common guide, not a law. Many households pay more. It is a way to see how much room is left for everything else.
Is what I type stored?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
