Delete your Spendfeed account
You can delete your Spendfeed account and everything the Spendfeed app holds about you at any time, on iPhone or Android. It takes a few seconds in the app, and you don’t need to contact anyone.
What gets deleted
- Your transactions, notes and categories, and the redacted alert text kept with them (on your phone; for a linked bank, the redacted bank description held on our servers).
- Your plan: salary day, buffer, cliffs, instalment plans, budgets and cards.
- People, groups, splits and settle cards — every settle-card link stops working immediately.
- Your open-banking connection (the consent is revoked at your bank), device tokens and settings.
- Your referral code and your usage and capture-health counts.
- The copy on your phone, when you delete in the app. Backups are purged within 30 days.
What we may keep
- Purchase records at the stores and RevenueCat. Apple, Google and our subscription provider RevenueCat keep their own records of a Spendfeed Pro purchase under their own policies; deleting your Spendfeed account does not erase them.
- Shared groups. What you added to a group you shared with other people (expenses, payments, comments) stays in that group for the other members, under the name you used there, no longer linked to an account. Their balances depend on it.
- Reports. If you reported someone’s content, the report stays (ids and a reason from a fixed list, never the text) with your account detached from it.
- A minimal record that a deletion request was handled, and anything the law requires us to keep.
- Server logs for up to 30 days, for security.
Before you delete
- Export first if you want a copy — Settings → Account & privacy → Export all data (JSON). Deletion can’t be undone.
- Cancel Spendfeed Pro separately. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription, so you keep being billed until you do:
- App Store (iPhone): Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Spendfeed.
- Google Play (Android): open the Play Store, tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Spendfeed → Cancel subscription.
- Keep your Account ID if you may need the email route. Copy the
userIdfrom an export before you uninstall: without it, or a purchase order number, we can’t find the account.
Delete less than everything
- Delete a single transaction from its detail screen.
- Unlink a bank in Settings → Autopilot.
- Turn off a capture source. On iPhone: delete the Shortcuts automation, or revoke Photos access in your phone’s settings. On Android: switch off Spendfeed’s notification access (Settings → Apps → Special app access → Notification access → Spendfeed; names vary slightly by phone maker).
