UAE banks and wallets Spendfeed understands

Spendfeed reads the alerts your bank, wallet or pay-later provider already sends and turns them into expenses in AED. Below is who it understands today.

Banks, wallets and pay-later providers

Spendfeed has readers for the alert formats of these providers. More are added over time. A bank that is not listed can still be tracked by typing a line or, where available, open banking.

How an alert becomes an expense

  1. A bank, wallet or pay-later provider sends an alert when you pay.
  2. Spendfeed reads that alert on your phone: through notification access on Android, or the Messages and Apple Pay automations you set up once on iPhone.
  3. The amount, merchant, date and card are extracted. OTPs, full card numbers and IBANs are stripped first, and anything that is not a transaction is dropped.
  4. The expense is categorised and added to your feed, without duplicates when two sources report the same payment.

Questions about banks

Is Spendfeed affiliated with these banks?

No. Spendfeed is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by any bank or payment provider. Names are used only to say which alerts Spendfeed understands.

Does Spendfeed need my online banking login?

No. Alerts are read from notifications or messages on your phone. Open banking, where it is used, goes through UAE Open Finance with your consent at your bank.

Does Spendfeed read my SMS?

No. Spendfeed never asks for SMS permission. On iPhone you create a Messages automation that hands bank alerts to the app; on Android it reads notifications from your banks’ apps. Alerts are understood on your phone and the alert text is never uploaded.

Bank and wallet names are trademarks of their owners. Spendfeed is independent and not affiliated with them.
